Deux postes à pourvoir d’étudiant.e.s au doctorat au sein de l’équipe de recherche du professeur Zoheb Hassan, à l’Université Laval, sur la thématique des réseaux sans-fil 6G et des jumeaux numériques.

Details about the projects

Track#1: Digital-Twin for Spectrum Sharing Between 6G NTN and Terrestrial Networks.

Key Research:

  1. Develop a Digital Twin for NTN-TN coexistence and use it for predictive resource control.
  2. Investigate the collabora on among mul ple digital twins via federated learning.
  3. Investigate synergies among mul-layer mobile edge computing, semantic communications, and digital twins for 6G networks.

Track#2: DL-enabled Spectrum Sensing and Interference Management for 6G Networks in Mid Band (Co-supervised with Dr. Ming Zeng, Université Laval).

Key Research:

  1. DL-empowered spectrum sensing and resource alloca on for coexisting cellular networks.
  2. Collaborative and decentralized spectrum sensing using federated learning.
  3. Spectrum sensing and resource alloca on for multiple operators/systems with different priority levels.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in ECE or CS.
  2. Background in wireless communications and networking.
  3. Experience/expertise in machine learning (DL/RL) for wireless networks.
  4. Solid programming skills in Python.

Additional Qualifications (Good to have) 

  1. Expertise in Radio resource management.
  2. Knowledge in spectrum sharing and sensing.
  3. Knowledge in Federated learning.
  4. Knowledge of Ray tracing and digital twins. 5. Experience in SDR-based experiments.
