What happens when an application or website asks you for access to your personal information? How can you protect your data? If I have an idea for a mobile app or online service, what are the rules I need to know to do this properly?

In this activity, entrepreneurs, researchers and government officials will learn more about the realities of managing consumer data. A panel of entrepreneurs who have been confronted with these elements will also be offered by Simon Langlois, founder of Stamped.ai and Isabelle Lopez, founder of My Smart Journey.

Outline of the Activity:

  • Presentation of basic concepts, issues and legislation on big data by the IID (Institute Intelligence and Data) of Université Laval
  • Key avenues for innovators and entrepreneurs
  • Panel on the realities of data management in startups

Presented by IID (Institute Intelligence and Data) of Université Laval, SOVAR and Entrepreneuriat Laval.
