A Canada Research Chair for Professor Flavie Lavoie-Cardinal
Our IID researcher member Flavie Lavoie-Cardinal, professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval, is one of seven Université Laval researchers to receive a Canada Research Chair this year.
Seven faculty members from Université Laval are among the Canadian researchers who have just been awarded Canada Research Chairs. Receiving these chairs is both a recognition of the excellence of their research as well as a guarantee of recurring financial support for several years to come.
Professor Lavoie-Cardinal obtained a Canada Research Chair in Intelligent Nanoscopy of Cell Plasticity.
This is a 5-year Tier 2 Chair, which may be renewed once. Canada Research Chairs are awarded to outstanding emerging researchers considered by their peers as likely to become leaders in their field. The Chair provides research funding of $ 100,000 per year.
