The CHU de Québec-Université Laval Research Center (Oncology Research Thrust) is looking for candidates for an assistant professor position in the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval.

The CHU de Québec-Université Laval Research Center (Oncology Research Thrust) is looking for candidates for an assistant professor position in the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval.

Applicants must lead or aim to develop an innovative and interdisciplinary research program focusing on solving important problems in the biology, cancer prevention and treatment with a major emphasis on bioinformatics, data science and / or machine learning.

The new researcher will have the opportunity to join established research groups including the Laval University Cancer Research Center (CRC), the Big Data Research Center (CRDM) as well as IID (Institute Intelligence and Data).

In recent years, our institution has benefited from significant investments, notably a new state-of-the-art level 3 data / computing center, led by a dedicated IT team (VALERIA) which manages our institutional data lake. We also benefit from a data-driven research platform (PULSAR), allowing researchers to share, reuse, link and increase the visibility of their data in accordance with the FAIR principles. Therefore, the new researcher will have access to a state-of-the-art data research infrastructure that provides easy access, flexibility and reliability for data-driven research projects.
