Canada Research Chair in Health Technologies and Practices

Marie-Pierre Gagnon is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Nursing at Université Laval, a regular researcher at VITAM – Center for Sustainable Health Research and a researcher at the Center de recherche du center hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CRCHUQ), where she is a member of the research thrust devoted to population health and optimal health practices.

Dr. Gagnon is co-director for the RUIS – Université Laval branch of the SUPPORT Unit “Research Strategy in Partnership with Patients and the Public” and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Health Technologies and Practices. Her work involves the implementation of knowledge transfer interventions. They focus on the adoption of evidence-based practices by health professionals, the implementation of information and communication technologies in the front line, the application of theoretical models to understand and support the use of scientific knowledge in decision-making and the participation of patients and the public in decision-making.
