Pierre-Luc Déziel has been a professor of Information Technology Law (IT Law) in the Faculty of Law at Université Laval since August 2016. He is an Associate Member of the LexUM Chair on Legal Information, the L. R. Wilson Chair in Information Technology and E-Commerce Law and the Canada Research Chair in Collaborative Culture in Health Law and Policy. He is also a member of the Institute of Ethics at Université Laval.

His research focuses on the impact of information technology on the evolution of privacy rights in Canada.
