Data Scientist, Institute Intelligence and Data (IID), Université Laval

Vineetha is a research professional at the IID with a background in Machine Learning and Software Engineering.

Before joining IID, she worked in companies like Nvidia as a software engineer and ZF Friedrichshafen as a machine learning developer, with an overall experience of 6 years. She has worked on developing models for object detection, semantic segmentation and audio classification for the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in self-driving cars. She has also worked as Research Professional at Robert Bosch Centre (RBCCPS, IISc Bangalore), where she developed an image-to-image translation model for LIDAR point cloud data in collaboration with other researchers.

Vineetha’s research interest includes generative modelling, domain generalization, 3D computer vision and continual learning. She is also keen on developing perception-based AI models for robotics applications. She has a Master’s degree Indian Institute of Science(IISc)  (Bangalore, India) with a major in Computational and Data science.
