Data Scientist, IID – Institute on Intelligence and Data, Université Laval

Ihsen Hedhli is machine learning researcher at IID with strong theoretical background on applied math and signal/image processing, always committed and interesting into learning and developing new ideas in machine learning.

He obtained a Ph.D. in Automatic Control, Signal and Image Processing in cotutelle between the university of Nice cote d’azur (INRIA, France) and the university of Genoa (DITEN, Italy). During his Ph.D, he worked on methodologically challenging topics of data fusion with multi-modal images from some of the latest space missions for Earth observation and developed several novel algorithms that are mathematically rigorous, effective, and computationally efficient.

Previously Ihsen Hedhli was a postdoctoral researcher at Université Laval (Canada) and EURECOM (France),  where he developed an interest in learning algorithms with challenging data contexts including complex valued neural nets, few-shot learning, self-supervised learning and learning form different modalities.
